Prison Writers Books
To promote re-entry opportunity for incarcerated persons, Leah Ward-Lee of LWL Enterprises began publishing books written by prisoners in 2010. Since that time, more than a dozen books, both fiction and non-fiction, have been written by authors in prison. Nine of those books have been publsihed and are available on Amazon.
Proceeds after the authors receive royalties are donated to $1000 Start-Ups to continue the mission provide economic and re-entry opportunity by training and funding low-cost business start-up for potential entrepreneurs from traditionally marginalized or at-risk communities.Â
